New courage
On the second album of BEÑAT Igerabide you can hear very nice melodies. But in general, you can say that the new work is stronger and more joyful than the previous one, more optimistic, and that the previous work is more intimidating. On the last album you can find a lot of strength and enthusiasm, as Indar berri bat sang: “I have released all the chains, I have a new force jumping; there is no obstacle that I can stop.”
They are pop-rock songs, well-dressed in touches of funk, folk and other styles, which speak about themes such as courage, courage, the desire to live, solidarity, love, nature... “There comes an earthquake that cannot be stopped; from the silence, the cry; the beginning of the change that we have postponed (The most beautiful world)”, “I have breath, too much force in the muscles; how I lost the call of this new land” (At each stop), “I will not build walls at the door of happiness, dreams remain open” (Undress).
Beñat Igerabide himself has composed the melodies, written the lyrics and recorded the songs in his studio of Aduna, in Sonola, as he did with his first album. In any case, he has worked with the components of his group in the preparation of songs and production, taking care of the details, and they have made a dense and robust sound. Lide Insausti and Sara Azurza have joined the songs with their beautiful melodies.
Step by step, Beñat Igerabide is making his own journey. After playing with several groups, he started creating songs on his own, and in 2009 he did his sound studies. After several years working on his project, he has formed a group and already has two albums on the street.
Since 2015, musician David Etura (drums and voices), Matthieu Haramboure (bass), Pello Gorrotxategi (keyboards) and Gorka Urra (guitar, voices) have joined the band. They are ice experts, King Mafrundi, Briganthta, Niko Etxart, Xabi San Sebastian, Triki ta Ke, Esne Beltza, Karidadeko Benta, Egan and others. Together with them he has composed his new album, which is performing very powerful performances in the field of music.
