Álava more euskaldun, but...
These are the words of Asier Etxenike collected in Alea magazine: “Our environment is more Euskaldun than we think, but we must be aware of it, we must become aware and take advantage of the opportunities we have to live in Euskera...”

On the other hand, they go beyond the competencies of the Alavese institutions; “it is not Álava” in relation to the Basque country. As a result of all this, in the effort to promote the Basque country everything becomes difficulty and obstacle.
Treviño's story reminded listeners of the terrible experiences of Franco. The only protection they have is the protection of citizenship. Compared to the situation in the area, the change in the territories of Álava (others) is evident. That is why, if the heavy inertia of fascism is to be overcome in Spain, in the radical transformation that the Constitution should have, local languages must be recognised. Meanwhile, Álava is more Euskaldun, yes, but…
