In the atmosphere of Libere
Soft keyboard melodies, a thin voice, simple and beautiful drawings of guitar and chelo... These are some of the components of Libere's atmosphere. Libe is characterized by its keyboards and voices, acting on a solid rhythmic basis, as demonstrated in their first work, and the songs on this second album have been filled with details and touches. It's a thoughtful listening job, more than once, to become aware of its content.
It is a quiet, evocative rock music with beautiful melodies that transmits tension. Libe García de Cortázar has banished, brought out his desires and what is inside. The songs convey the desire to leave, to live, to enjoy life, to overcome the inner void, to have courage to move forward, to have a friend, to feel the bittersweet love and to feel the concern for the sense of being.
Libe García de Cortázar has collaborated with the groups Neubat, Sorkun, Ekon and izaki Gardenak in interpreting their own songs before the formation of the group Libe.Ihesaldi handi (Bonberenea Ekintzak, 2014) is their first album. The Moon has fallen and it can be said that the second work is a continuation of the previous one, with some different brushes, and more “mature”, as it can be observed that the songs are more elaborated and that their colleagues had clearer what they wanted to do.
The work of the authors of this album is remarkable, as they are musicians with great experience and a great taste of mouth. In addition to Libe García de Cortázar (voice, keyboards), Txus Villalabeitia (guitar), Dani Arrizabalaga (drums) and Karlos Osinaga (bass, production, recording and mixtures) have worked at the Bonberenea de Tolosa studio to make the recordings. Maite Arroitajauregi has played the cello in two songs and Jon Basaguren has sung it in a song. Jon Basaguren himself has also collaborated with Libe García de Cortazar in writing the lyrics of the song.
The performances to present the album have already started. Nice possibilities to enter the atmosphere of Libere.
