Can you listen to each other with humor, “So, this Republic is? Nothing special is perceived...”. No one would say that one people changes from one day to the next, but if Parlamenta and Governna were in the hands of their own voters, another party and atmosphere would be breathed.

On Sunday morning we attended Terrassa, a conference organised by the CoR (Committee for the Defence of the Republic in Catalan). The moderator asks the representatives of the CDRs of Vallcarca, Sabadell and Terrassa the following question: “There was a kind of haste to proclaim the republic. And now, how are we going to work on CDRs?" Valcarca has responded severely: “We, rather than proclaiming the republic, were in a hurry not to feel manipulated. The proclamation of the Republic has been a way of curbing the dynamics experienced. So far, defense has been the answer to the logic of CDRon. Now there is a rush to start the constant process. The economic and political experts are working on a constant process in which we also have to involve the citizens, because the European Liberal Republics do not serve as a model, we want a Republic that is not at the service of the elites and that pursues social policy”. The CoR have shared all kinds of citizens and are the right place to work on the basis of the new Constitution. One of the attendees expressed disagreement: “Now, starting to work on the constituent process in the CoR, it seems to me a dispersion of forces, there is Omnium, ANC and other institutions...” Terrassa replied, “there is nothing more transversal than CDRs, we cannot be accused of dispersion, it is not dispersion, it is enrichment. The debate has to be rich and that is what the CoR brings. We are not going to impose or discredit what Omnium does. We think that ours is more social and that it is not represented in some organizations.” The applause of all of them has taken up the words of another member of the public: “CDR-Omnium-ANC are not different things. I'm at three o'clock, I'm an entrepreneur, my workers are going to go on strike and they're going to charge it. This process is everybody's. But it is clear that a new constitution cannot be left to politicians and elites alone, because otherwise, as in 1978 we will be introduced into a constitution that belongs only to a part of society. And in that Constitution we must welcome all the citizens, even those who do not think like me.”

“We have no plans or mechanisms to implement it”

In the afternoon we addressed Sabadell, the internationalist conferences organized by the Cup. The recognition of Benet Salellas at the opening of the days has caused us a feeling of stomach: "We do not understand why the Catalan Government is not putting into effect the decrees agreed on Friday by the Parlament, but acts as a legitimate government. It's a sign of weakness. The lack of political foresight is at the bottom, and the CUP has also been part of it, because we had to be prepared and it was not in anyone's expectation that the claim was made. A pre-revolving or lifting movement, if it does not have impulse mechanisms, cannot execute the decisions made by the movement. Catalonia has assumed the proclamation of the republic without the apparatus of state (no army, no judicial body and no police). We are the force of reason, we legitimize the civil disobedience of the citizens who overflow, but how do we implement that force of reason? It is very difficult to recover the power intervened by Article 155 without alternative mechanisms, without parallel self-organization”.
