Open your eyes and
Reno, Nevada, United States. A city marked in the imaginary of the Basques: an important Basque colony (because, who knows if he has gold), a monument to the Basque pastor (according to, I will not go on with the joke), is more, the Center for Basque Studies, a research center to work the Basque and the Basque studies. But what further away from that observation by Zilbor? There was no light in the vicinity of Las Vegas. Because in Reno, each and every one of these ten stories is set. Reading the ten, you see, it has to be said that something happens that nothing and much does not happen: not perhaps between sumptuous noises, but more in a barely perceptible and constant tremor in the subsoil. Relations between women and men (and even women, men and men) predominate, the relationship, the way to call them, especially affective ones – “Flirting is the only way we have left today”. Women and men from backgrounds, conditions, diverse tastes, condemned to understand each other, not to understand each other or at least interact with each other. Everybody gets stuck on these pages, a small world, let's say a microcosm that could span the whole world. Calm, there are also the Basques, fortunately in small doses – for example, “the Basques are not just shrines”; or a compatriot “those of immigration have caught him and sent him home”. A crazy city, therefore, but it is home to completely normal, absolutely vulgar people, like you and me.

These include those that have to happen here. And more than with the questions I asked at the beginning, I would stay with statements like “if I came to Reno everything is possible,” “Reno’s day is over twenty-four hours.” “You’ll open your eyes and see many things in Reno.” As if it were not enough, from the hand of Javi Cillero.
