Breaking schemes elegantly
The SCB was born in Vitoria-Gasteiz around 2011, at the initiative of Pela, which for a long time led to the group Obligations. In his environment, Anti, guitarist of Obligations, Penike, long-standing blues bassist, has gathered Joseba B. The great guitarist Lenoir and the veteran drummer David. They wanted to go beyond what the punk rock and the rock-and-roll had hitherto assumed. When they started writing the songs, they participated in the Gasteiz dirt capital collection and decided to offer them pills in the form of a Single: Angelines, Golden... The group components are in many sauces (Marky Ramone, Willis Drummond, Tobaco Road…) and the group has been quiet.
The mark of the SCB is to write the essence of the crudety of life with a poetic and realistic writing, and on this occasion they have gathered the most political songs of all time, referring to the misery and injustices of the globalized world. Most of its members come from sweaty rock and that cannot be removed from genes; in addition, they take pride in the punk of youth – autochthonous – but by adding rhythms and melodies of different coordinates, the result is unusual, rich.
Only you are born to be a single: elegant, sticky, suggestive, evoking Argentine rock. Soap pills wrapped in towels is more fun, breaking rhythms and bringing jazz closer. Fuego is a re-reading by Martha & The Vandellas that brings me to the memory beaches, crowns of girls and glam-rock. I want a hostage, too, has a lot to break the rhythms. Rock-rock-ballad, bittersweet. Flies in the butchery endorse the essence of the operatic rock that Eskorbuto wants to make. Beirut city boogie is a big boogie: it has the urgency of the punk rock-and-roll and the spirit of Eskorbuto, as the Illegal group would like to write at first. The song Insomnia has led us to have bad dreams with Nick Cave. War is a transparent power-pop that has been drinking since the 1960s. Hope and hope that rhythm&blues won't come. And finally, Happy End pays tribute to the Australian rock that we owe so much.
