Concert for violin and orchestra, op. Work 35 has some very curious elements, and that is precisely what gives it this unique beauty. It starts with a sweet theme, which then doesn't appear anywhere in the whole play, with passages like dancing in motion. It's a work with imperfect perfection, and that's very appealing. This time we had a solid version, from the hand of violinist Vadim Gluzman. This soloist, born in Ukraine but of Israeli nationality, has a way of playing with Russian tradition. A round and powerful sound, with many nuances, that underscores the romantic aspect. It also shows great ease in overcoming difficulties. The score seemed very simple in his hands and we all know the difficulties he has. The Orchestra also performed its work very well. A balanced sound, without ever stepping on the soloist, achieving beautiful effects.
In the second part of the program, the first part of William Walton will be broadcast. We hear the symphony in Bemol minor. It can be said that it is one of the most well-known works in England, due to its musical riches and its melodic beauty. Walton ended this great work in 1935, and throughout the four movements you can see multiple influences: Sibelius, Stravinski, Prokofiev, and Ravel, a Sidewalk with malinconia in the third movement, are there. But with these raindrops, Walton knew how to work a special, shiny style. The Bordeaux National Orchestra of Aquitaine highlighted the splendor and courage of the work, with a powerful and exciting version. They also cast a bis. A passage taken from the work Variations Enigma by Edward Elga. Whim.
