The number of followers of the social networks of ARGIA is growing as fast as the speed of the everyday that social networks mark us. We've reached 30,000 on Twitter over these weeks. And along these lines, I've been asked for a little celebration.
This is the excuse we've taken to look at the ARGIA movements in this world. At what point does this medium of communication decide to push its nose into this ever-stronger swing of social networks? It was one of the first Basque media to test this house in this virtual world. Why? Especially because it was thought that there was little to lose and a lot to gain, and you saw the possibility that the push that was missing from the web would come along that road.
According to the latest data, ARGIA is one of the spaces occupied by the Basque media in these social networks and has one of the highest audiences. It's got a lot of movement in the network, and there's a lot of retweets and shutters.
The medium is about to reach 20,000 Facebook followers, but although it has 10,000 fewer than on Twitter, it is here where the largest salsa is produced and where the most entries come argia.eus.
In Telegram, the ARGIA community brings together about 750 people, but although the figures go down a lot compared to the others, we have to bear in mind that in the Basque media we have the largest community, and what to say if we talk about communities in Basque. Instagram is the last leap that has taken place, and around 2,000 followers congregate here.
ARGIA has its strategy for social media. Each journalist has a personal account and addresses issues of interest to them. But in addition, we all have the keys to all ARGIA accounts, and between everyone and everyone goes ahead.
Much has been said, however, that we are constantly playing with some multinationals and that we have to be aware that we cannot leave our material alone in their hands. We have to keep everything. What if one day we had to close the networks and pay to get in? They are very effective tools for disseminating and receiving information, useful for disseminating our content, but we must not forget in what hands we are.
