Spring has not missed its annual appointment and along with it the bertsos have reached the Plaza del Karmelo de Santutxu. The Udaberriko Bertso Saioak cycle is a long-awaited quote by the bertsos fans of the Biscay capital. Organized by the Bertso Eskola de Santutxu and the Bilbao City Hall, this year its 33rd edition has been held. After touring Bilbao neighborhood to neighborhood, thirteen years ago it became the definitive seat on the stage of the Plaza del Karmelo, in the heart of Santutxu.El background of the
Sessions of Bertsolaris de Primavera is based on three criteria: on the one hand, bring bertsolaris to a high level; on the other, give room to bertsolaris and women from Bizkaia; and on the other, they have come to sing a solarberber sessions. The bertsolaris are prepared by members of the Bertso Eskola, and the audience sings the bertsolaris at the end of the session.
This year the performances will be the first three Saturdays of May. In the first, on 6 May, Maialen Lujanbio, Unai Iturriaga, Ibon Ajuriagojeaskoa and Miren Amuriza acted. With sunny weather, many amateurs came to listen.
At the orders of the young Gaiter Aitor Irastorza. Amuriza began by saying that singing in Karmelo Square is “an annual ritual” and Lujanbio added that he needs the May bertso. With the memory of the landscape of Santutxu, Ajuriagojeaskoa expressed in his farewell his desire for the verses to flourish in the asphalt.
Perhaps because the sun had softened the audience, the case is that the audience started somewhat slowly. Applause and laughter were not frequent. The first outstanding action was offered by Amuriza and Ajuriagojeasko. Out-of-competition sessions allow special exercises and experiments. So Irastorza put Amuriza as a mathematician and asked Berriz's bertsolari for the mathematical formula with which the other three bertsolaris fall in love. Amuriza told Iturriaga that he went from zero to ten and from ten to zero immediately, and he replied that he was not fond of trying new things: “I’ve never gone through one more one,” the last point of the Duchess. Amuriza sang a beautiful verse to Ajuriagojeaskoda, saying that he multiplies the virtues of his beloved and that he is made his heart two chunks. It was a nice exercise, Amuriza was able to face the challenge and the other three bertsolaris responded very clearly.
The public also chained the Iturriaga exercises well. The proponent gave a definition at one point and the Durangus had to invent the word at the next point. It was a word for every letter of the alphabet, and Iturriaga invented all but one. Then, by pairs, the Ajuriagojeaskoa was Donald Trump, and he gave advice to Lujanbio/Marine Le Pen.
In the last exercise, Iturriaga was the bertsonal trainer of three others. In fact, Durango's won't participate in the Bertsolaris Championship of Euskal Herria, but the rest will. They both got into a good wedge and, in addition, Iturriaga got the other three to see what mood they lead to the championship. As for the category of verses, this exercise was also the most complete, perhaps the fact of having mentioned the championship accelerated the bertsolaris.Para to complete the program, the audience recited the
