Emotions are specific affective responses related to the concrete and concrete situation. Mood is a permanent mood state. The difference is that one is the winter flower, the other remains all year round. Social and political events can also be a source of excitement. Even though many go unnoticed, there are some that puncture us in our guts, which leave us joyful, excited, depressed, unhappy or fearful. However, in most cases, as the event it has provoked moves away, emotions accumulate until they disappear. For the rest, if you feel the same emotions over time, they can become moods, perpetuate themselves.
In recent weeks we have had a series of events that have put our nerves in dance in Euskal Herria. On the one hand, the disarmament of ETA on 8 April gave rise to a number of sensations. It was noted in Baiona that people were aware of the importance of the moment. The Artisans of Peace responded with work, imagination and courage to an entanglement that seemed marred not a step forward, as well as to all the citizens who later committed themselves. Impossible, done with effort and commitment. I believe that, to a large extent, it was the mood for years that allowed disarmament to take place in this way. Newly founded the Single Commonwealth of Iparralde, in an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, the initiative was led by civil society, with the support of institutional representatives. However, the craftsmen themselves pointed out that, despite the fact that Baiona is a milestone, it should be nothing more than a step forward, a step that should allow further progress as a people. Therefore, it remains to be seen its evolution beyond the emotion of the moment.
In many villages, Locks Esku Dago is organizing consultations on this issue. The percentage of participation is being concentrated in information and tertulias, but in this point of view there is a fundamental error, as consultations are not an objective in themselves, but a means. More than the day of the consultation, we should look the following day at the outcome of the organization of the consultation in those villages.
The day after Baiona, the twenty-fourth edition of the festival ended in Baiona. Running. And the most successful Korrika ever, in Pamplona and Navarra of change. It was an excited day, full of sunshine and a joyful atmosphere. The fact that there are more people than ever in the Korrika is nothing new, nor is there any authorities that support the Basque people in the institutions of Navarra and Iparralde. However, as the AEK coordinator, Mertxe Mugika, has pointed out, if the Korrika is not to remain a party, we must now reflect so that, in practice, the force that for eleven days has crossed our people becomes the great claim of the Basque Country.
On the other hand, Tours Esku Dago is organizing consultations in many villages, following the path started in Etxarri Aranatz and in Arrankudiaga. The percentage of participation is being concentrated in information and tertulias, but in this point of view there is a fundamental error, as consultations are not an objective in themselves, but a means. More than the day of the consultation, we should look at the following day, which is the result of the organisation of the consultation in those peoples. That is, to see if the process itself has been a generative state of mind, has served to activate. Because if the flame is not kept alive, the work done will be useless.
In the winding up of our people will be the events that have recently taken place. The truth is that if we consider that all of them are isolated facts, they will remain in a moment of heat and emotion. And after a long streak of lies, we also have the need for a collective mood that strengthens us beyond punctual emotions. In fact, the mood leads to action and the mills are driven by permanent structural actions. We have to move from thinking that this people has already given the best of themselves, to believing that the best is about to come, and to do so enthusiastically. Without the will of the people, we will hardly be a people.

This weekend I've been thinking about the word 'aesthetic' in relation to a phrase said by a friend: “This work is aesthetic.” I have studied the etymology of the word aesthetic, it seems that its meaning was originally perceived through the senses, and it was later associated... [+]
