I know that in today's journalism, as in many other areas, work is precarious. In addition, because of the speed at which we live, the news has to be produced faster than fast. In case that was not a bad thing, or perhaps because of that, most media workers are relatively young, and the university of life has not yet taught them much. These, and probably others, will be the reasons for the lack of professional rigour that we are suffering today.
I am more furious than the press consumer, either on paper or on the screen or on the waves, but I often feel too rabid in the other sense of the word.
Every day, or almost, I find some examples that can be mentioned both in Spanish and in Euskera, without taking into account the spelling or grammatical errors I mentioned earlier. But what strikes me the most is, among other things, what I most support, the need to listen to or read the “first”, the “last”, the “only” and the epithets of a totally exclusive nature. If age teaches us something, it's that for the first time nothing happens, or that there are few people who are the first to do something. Or the last one. Or the only one. But of course, young people think that the world has started with them.
