Electricity
is a basic commodity whose objective is for citizens to regain control and consume responsibly. How is it achieved?
On the one hand there is the commercialisation of energy and on the other there is production. We created a marketing cooperative to start the first path, and we built on partners, which today are about 6,000. We also offer advice to partners, as the objective is responsible consumption, to regulate the power to consume what they need. But it is not just a bill, the philosophy is to move away from mere economic activity and to work for the needs of society and the environment. The second way is to make energy production accessible to the public, and we are putting it into effect. Because if production is in our hands, we can be active subjects in price negotiation knowing the real cost of energy.
How do you get the energy to sell?
There is
a buying and selling market and we buy there the energy our partners need. Everything we buy is renewable, but to get home it mixes with other energies on the net. In any case, we are looking for ways of non-intermediation of the market and we want to establish direct contacts with producers.
You say that our homes do not have 100% renewable energy. So what's your difference?
There is
not much difference in the product that the consumer receives. Well, every time there are more partners, there will be more renewables in the network, so there will be a higher percentage, but philosophy and objectives make us different. Even if it sounds like a contradiction from an entrepreneurial point of view, our goal is that we consume less and less energy, another way of understanding energy is more sustainable. And at the same time, we're looking for more partners to make what's consumed renewable.
