To the street! On the occasion of this initiative, dozens of events, conferences and meetings were held in December and January. At a roundtable organized by former political prisoners, listening to Mertxe Galdos, who had to live in isolation because of the dispersion, was exciting. And above all, to represent Arantza Zulueta, who is in isolation.
It was exciting to see so many women together, wanting to work, showing the need to visualize the situation experienced by political prisoners. It was emphasized that prisons are spaces organized by the patriarchy to create submissive and submissive women.
The consequences of the dispersion were also evident, evidencing that they are an added punishment for those who should live in and out of jail.
On January 14, we went out warm to the street. Eager to bring him to us to end the emergency laws. The following Monday, however, shrunk our hearts in the face of the case of male violence suffered by the daughter of a political prisoner. While we could not turn around, we in Navarre have known the murder of a woman. That has made it clear to us that it is not just prison, but the same system, patriarchal and toxic. That also needs urgent answers.
