Hello, Mari Paz. Tulips or ox hearts (Tulipa spp) love freshness. The warm, dry part of the year, summer and fall, they spend it sleeping. The underground bulb will wake up from mid-fall. The flower shall be placed on the accumulated reserves in the bulb. Then, with the flower wilted, the leaves are lengthened and the bulb is refilled with reserve. Summer falls asleep and the next fall wakes up.
To store it year after year, leave it on the ground or once the foliage wilts, at the beginning of summer, remove it from the subsoil and after drying it well, collect it in a container, in a cool, dark and dry place.
