I have received an email from Brazil. These are words of beasaindarra Estebe Ormazabal Insausti, a subscriber of ARGIA. It's not the first person living abroad that we've brought to this corner. Little by little we are collecting the opinions, reflections, criticism and praise of the community that we have outside the Basque Country.
For work reasons, Ormazabal crossed the sea in 1996 in order to reach Brazil. He had previously worked in England, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Ireland. In São Paulo he also has a soft curriculum: although he is currently immersed in the world of education, among other things, he was president of the Basque Center Eusko Alkartasuna of São Paulo for a while, he has served as a professor of Euskera at the university and has written a book on Basque migration.
But how long has LIGHT continued? It is a weekly that he knew he had not lost heaven yet and had been read from time to time; however, after losing the track, he signed up towards the year 2000, after having had ARGIA back in the hands of a Basque friend from Rio de Janeiro. And he has confessed to me that he likes the critical view as the plural that journalists give to the issues. He has told us that being a ARGIA subscriber “helps to read and live in Euskera”, which allows him to “know the world in Euskera” and that “it is a pleasure to read a quality journalism in Euskera”. I do not know if, in case of saying
something wrong, out of fear that we cannot send the weekly, I do not know if you have launched this kind of flowers to ARGIA, but it is a pleasure to receive this kind of response. Thank you, Ormazabal.
