News in this issue. Do you realize, reader? At ARGIA we are not to rest, we will release a new section on the pages next week. Does Xabier Gantzarain sound to you? The author is himself and you will be able to see him in the culture section from now on every two weeks. Narrated very superficially, each of his articles will be based on the work of an artist from the Basque Country. This is what I knew before I called Gantzarain, and with a little work of execution, I would surely have had the necessary information to do this article, but I've preferred to tell you something more about you with some small explanations.
The work of art will be the main actress and from it will work the same artist, the feelings that awakens the work, etc. In the paper version the image will be the protagonist, as you want to show the beauty of the artwork itself; and we will be able to read in the network a more extensive text. Painting and sculpture will be the most important starting points of Gantzarain, which aims to show the work of artists of Euskal Herria in ARGIA. It will not, however, chronologically, be at least a kind of art history: we will find current artists as artists of the early twentieth century, but walking along time to the opinion of the author. Gantzarain told us that art serves to “move schemes,” and that he will study works of interest to him, or the work of a relatively unknown artist, or the unknown work of a well-known artist. The work of deceased painters or sculptors will be analyzed through art catalogues, but in the case of the present ones, will perform the analysis together with them and the selection of the image for the paper.
Wondering about the names of the works and artists he will work with, the author has eluded me, reader, and next time you will have to stay with Bixente Ameztoi, waiting for what comes next. I too will be like that.
