The women of Itxaro Borda, 1984, Teresita zen, Tere da Irastortza are already here, Hutsaren khantoreaken. I mean, with a handful of poetry books edited, 34 years, we already have a mature poet that collects almost all of the previous work. It includes five poems in one. It's not all poems written. Nor have they undergone substantial changes. But: “I couldn’t resist the desire to sew some memories in this collection.”

J. 5. A quote from the Catalan poet Foix opens the collection, ten marbles. And then they join that desire to sew some memories: “I recognize that in the first three books I find the letter of the very young woman,” or “they will admit the critics, if there are them among us, which may be upset for my friends of my time of writing.” That in the general preamble, before I start commenting on poem books one by one. For the first time in 1980, he says: “What would I feel proud of if I had the courage to write all the words of then.” The second, Subject and Nocturnal Changes of 1983, adds, inter alia, the following: “In Basque literature, attachment to the same language was the main trend, but he lacked the ambition to approach everyday life. Also Mikel Arrangi, Koldo Izagirre, Arantxa Urretabizkaia had special attention to it, but few”. It is thanks, speaking of the third Sheet of 1983, for honesty: “I tried to move away from the expression of the first book by Gaia and Gau aldaketa and Hostoak. By no means, these are the texts in this collection that stop the reader the most before the poem ends.” Suddenly, with the fourth fable of Defeat in 1986, a trend begins to appear in the short, which the poet associates with the traditional oral literature: he wanted as briefly as the morals of the fables, “but eliminating that moralistic tone and offering the dating of reality”. In the poetry of the fifth Osinberdeko khantoreak collection of 1986, on the other hand, “for the first time the irony point is introduced. Irony or painful humor.” And in the end, more interesting than the poems themselves, if it's a reading about the poems, with the perspective of the past tense. Don't get me wrong, please, poems are also legible, but in this case what has caught my attention is that critical look at personal work.

“No one can be tempted to forget the solid and fruitful poetic trajectory of the Zaldibiarra, but it must be borne in mind that Deficiencies of 1980 has since been one of the references of Basque poetry”. Beñat Sarasola, for his part, has been doing so since 2011. This book would be the perfect place for the first round back, stop, viewpoint of this poetic trajectory.
