Last April, Euskal Herriko Bilgune Feminist and Emagine presented a practical guide to working with the Basque Nomenclature and gender discrimination. This guide seeks to reflect on the binarism of the Basque nomenclature. As the name influences our nature, it is another element to build our being, so the authors of the guide propose overcoming the establishment of names based on sex. The guidelines define strategies for this purpose, such as the use of hospital registrations, understanding that the options that do not comply with the Euskaltzaindia standard will be more easily accepted than in the registry; the use of abstract names, fictitious names or toponysms as tests; etc. This guide also shows a list of names that have been created with the intention of completing with users. Among the members of ARGIA we will draw four practical guides in October. In the photo, the author of the practical guide, during the presentation in Donostia.
