Nature is an inexhaustible source of health, well-being, learning and creativity, and Freire, a psychologist, tells us about the benefits of educating children in relation to the environment. Educating in the Green is a commitment to the integration of nature in educational projects of educational centers. It invites educators to use the natural spaces nearby, to turn the courtyards into gardens, orchards and small forests, and encourages citizens to naturally fill the empty spaces of the cities. After all, it is a resource to live more relaxed that helps to develop nature, abstract intelligence, affectivity, social skills, self-esteem, empathy... In Freire’s own words, “this book is aimed at all the people, parents and educators who want to make that path.”
