The name and being dubious. The Basque Nomenclature and the practical guide of gender segregation were presented in the spring by Euskal Herriko Bilgune Feminist and Emagine. This is a reflection on the binarism on which the Basque nomenclature is based.

In the presentation on April 26, the authors of the guide affirmed that the name influences our nature, so it is one more element to build our being. When we're told it's called Lorea, an imaginary comes to mind, among other things, that she's a girl, and when we're told it's Harkaitz, another imaginary. The authors of the guide propose overcoming the establishment of names based on sex, since binarism is another way to highlight it. Libe Eizagirre said: “Will the world stop if Hodei says it and a girl and a boy turn their faces?”

In the guide, strategies have been proposed to overcome the nomenclature by sex and to be able to give the newborn the name they like, such as using hospital registrations to accept more easily than in the register options that do not comply with the Euskaltzaindia standard; as proof the use of abstract names, fictitious or toponyms; in the National Institute of Statistics it can be demonstrated that in the Basque Language Registry Ulia, Haika, Aske, Sen, Iraun…

Looking to the future, Emagine and Bilgune Feminist want to create a space on the web to share strategies to end the Basque Nomenclature, which is made according to sex. Meanwhile, the practical guide is on sale for 3 euros bilgunefeminista.eus.
