After so many months of election campaign in the Spanish state, it is time for the politicians who govern to keep their promises. And let those who remain in the opposition also call for these promises to be kept. Surely there have been no more campaigns in Spain in which the economic, labor and social problems have been so present. From right to left, everyone has stressed the need to solve unemployment, particularly among young people; poverty, social exclusion, dependency, precariousness, the lack of dignity of pensions and emigration have also been on everyone’s lips.
Everyone says that the minimum wage must be improved. They are all against tax fraud and tax havens. They all agreed on the need to change adjustment policies and to negotiate with Europe public debt and the deficit ceiling. Everyone has been in favour of a tax reform that will require more of the rich. Some have promised to lower taxes (IRPF) and others have promised to raise taxes to the rich, to companies and to the multinationals. In Euskal Herria, moreover, everyone has invested in industry, especially in the steel industry at risk.
If all these electoral promises are to be fulfilled, it is time to implement policies to do so. The one who promises cannot fail to speak and should take the necessary steps from the government and from the opposition. From the Government, amending the previous laws as necessary, and from the opposition, constantly demanding the fulfilment of those promises. Those who remain in the opposition also have the possibility of their demands affecting the Government. It is also the time of the citizens, of course, that we should monitor what is done with our vote.

There are many ways to gain power; not all are beautiful. There are those who want to divide the power and the responsibility that it entails with it, who seek authority. Others have a lot of respect for him and the fact that each step is so measured makes them unable to make a... [+]

On February 3rd, the time has begun to pre-enroll our children and young people in schools, and as every year we would like to remind you why we do not think it is a good idea to enroll them in religion. Last year we finished the article saying that “many of you will be... [+]

Bai, bai, holaxe. Ez naiz harago joatera menturatzen. Pleonasmo bat dela? Tautologia bat agian? Baliteke, baina egia-oste deitzen dioten garai honetan, oinarri-oinarrizko egitateak beharrezkoak dira. Begira, bestela, “Ez da ez!” lelo indartsuari. Bagenekien hori... [+]
I had a friend who worked at Porcelana Irabia until they closed, and every time we went to a restaurant or a bar he looked at the mug and the ass of the dish to find out where the piece was made. I do the same thing when I go to the fairs of old things: I look where it is made,... [+]

There are concepts that appear everywhere during certain periods, which also become mantras. They appear to us in a positive and necessary way, without too much debate and without thinking about them. It seems to me that one of these mantras is internationalization, which has... [+]
In 2021 we began to hear the first echoes of the Guggenheim Urdaibai project. The then General Manager Unai Rementeria told us that it would be done yes or yes. To reinforce his claims, he left 40 million euros “shielded” by the time the museums were built. There it is!... [+]

We learned this week that the Court of Getxo has closed the case of 4-year-old children from the Europa School. This leads us to ask: are the judicial, police, etc. authorities prepared to respond to the children’s requests? Are our children really protected when they are... [+]
