You have completed almost two years of running. Encouragement and congratulations! Also to those who have worked for two, three and four years! Who has the most merits, the one who has finished two years or the one who has worked for four years and has presented himself to the examination?
The grandson told his grandfather that he had won the Tour of Spain and that the cyclist Langarika had received a lot of money in prizes; and the grandfather understood it very quickly: “There’s a big difference. I also see high school students in the same way: some because they have not been able to fit; others, in the absence of a last effort, have had the passport almost touched with the tip of their fingers and have escaped. There is another lot that has happened instead of a final serious attempt. This team of students has it difficult, not only needs a push to understand and work on the issues, no, they need a hug to believe in themselves and their abilities. You have to feel that we're here for what you need. But many times, it's hard to face the negative results, the day we've shared the notes, and we ask that we clarify the doubts, when our students are sobbing, we hide behind some innocent excuse.
It's not easy, no. In these situations, the tone, words and forms of some adolescents and young people are not the most appropriate. But we have to tell them that they are doing a bad job, we have to convey to them what it is to know how to be! Also to parents! Disproportionate or out-of-place reactions of students should become an opportunity to teach how to correct the situation. Training in saying what to say and listening without losing your nerves has nothing to do with life!
We have become accustomed to doing almost everything by phone and whatsapp. The tutors and the parents of the students exchange information without looking in the face. The situation offers the possibility of saying anything, of losing respect and measures, and the pressure we suffer from parents! It is worthless for some, neither the cans that the tutor has given him during the whole course to try to redirect the situation; nor the advice to change attitude; nor the concerns that have been shown to them in the face of an insufficient result, have as their sole objective that they are seen enough wherever there is something.
The effort and, if possible, the success of being up to the level that corresponds to us in these situations provides the student with a unitary model. At every door the answer has been the same: assessment teams, teachers, guardians, fathers and mothers. Here are two lessons in which all representatives of the educational community have the same view. There is no confusion, a unanimous diagnosis is being made and the decision taken is being reasoned. There is no other way, everyone says it and there is the key! I accept the judgment at that time. It is useless to look for stumbles! By hand and with all hands together, we will direct the future by making strength in the same direction. It takes everyone’s hands!
