The Minister of Foreign Action says that "austerity has passed." It is now easy to say, because the troika itself admitted it, and the Spanish state is its server. The Troika, made up of the European Central Bank, the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund, has met its economic objectives, but at an enormous social cost. This is one of the conclusions drawn from a number of official European reports. They have prevented the default of sovereign debt and the fulfilment of the deficit limit objectives, and have succeeded in restoring confidence in the Spanish banking system. The social cost of this rescue, on the contrary, has been "excessive and unfortunate", explained cynically by those responsible for it. In these reports they have shown their “dismay” over cuts in health care, the imbalance in income distribution and the rise in poverty and a wave of eviction, as well as the small investors affected.

Now, the troika has demanded that Spain reduce another EUR 9 billion, and as always, it will be borne by the workers and the citizens. As a manager of the interests of current capitalism, the troika, which represents the large banks and multinationals, laughs at the citizens while it is with the same social barbarity. At the Davos capitalist world forum, some observed that adjustment policies could increase social instability (strikes, demonstrations, occupations...). But they know that, for the time being, resistance is scarce and isolated. As long as they do not find the anti-capitalist wall, strong and supportive, they will continue their anti-social policies.
