I've gone to the library to look for the latest book that Angela Davis has translated into Spanish: Democracy of abolition. Jails, racism and violence. The CAPV Library Network consists of two volumes, none available at the moment. I went around the shelves and ended up in the children's literature section. A man has come to silence children who are laughing at their books. I've turned around, I've been surprised that you've been so violently targeting those young children in Spanish. And lo and behold, I met a man from a private security company who was wearing a blouse and handcuffs.

It's the first time I've ever encountered such an image in a library, so I went out into the street. I couldn't help but think about the paradox. In space, which should be the cradle and driving force of free minds, they have introduced a symbol that promotes “security, righteousness and silence.” Not only in prisons, the security control society has reached the intimate spaces of our day to day. It is time to speak of urgency about the democracy of abolition.
