Pamplona 1996. The Swiss account of the President of Navarre, Javier Otano, appears on the front page of the Diario de Navarra, and within a few days the voice of the chief provisional official of the PSN, poor Pérez Calvo, forgotten of all for a long time: “Currently, UPN is the party that best represents Navarra.” One party therefore says that another party is better. This is the brand! After all, the PSN label.

Madrid, 2016 Final Judgment of Felipe González: “The government of the PP and Citizens is the best for Spain, with the abstention of the PSOE”. A few days later, in the impressive series Salvados, Esperanza Aguirre and Josep Piqué: “The PP has to facilitate a government between the PSOE and Citizens.”

Between the two scenarios, 20 years, about 400 kilometers, different protagonists. However, the same intention, the same fear, the same solution. In Navarre, cheese theory emerged in 1996 (using the words of Miguel Sanz without permission). In Spain, on the other hand, the foundations of the great coalition are being laid today. The quesite coalition? A great theory? A “navarrizada” Spain?

In Navarre, 20 years ago, those who have always promised that they would not get their bills for good, and using the pseudoscientific theory of cheese, got to work to keep the wild depraved away from the Palacio de la Diputación. The field game, marked in such a demanding way, did not take into account that the area left on the other side was completely free, in the hands of those who were outside the Corralito Foral. That free space wasn't a thing of the other world, there were few loose players who couldn't see each other. Free space, but not empty space, then.

As time went by, sharing the same side of the field, they began to jointly manage corruption and client networks, confusing objectives and becoming an identity and inseparable: UPPSN. However, in that free and desert area of 1996, there were more and more people, more angry, stronger... of being weakened and empowered, thanks to the cheese theory, one was divided into two and the other has come to have more than half cheese. Not suddenly, not very soon, not very safe... Forever?

This evolution is not going to take 20 years to happen in Spain, because it goes much faster, because it has more need, because they are extremely rude. The devils come serious, at full speed, breaking the doors of Congress, exhibiting their moños, trackers and t-shirts.

No shame.
