The Txistu in the Plaza de la Constitución in San Sebastian at the ninth Beethoven Symphony (The Ode of Joy) was not against the great master, but against the European Union that has kidnapped his hymn. I'm sure if Beethoven raised his head, he would do the same. The Third Symphony, for the first time, was dedicated to Napoleon by admiration, as it symbolized the global revolution and the one he was creating joined together. However, when Napoleon became emperor, Beethoven became angry, wiped out Napoleon's name because he didn't want the despot, neither the old nor the new. Today's Europe is full of old and again, in my humble opinion, and also very little illustrated.

It cannot be denied that the path initiated in 1950 by six states (France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) with the Coal and Steel Convention, that is, the path taken by I.and the Grand Duke, as he had promised them, did not dare to oppose the orders of Iván Ignátich; it was a step forward in the super-imperialist states. In addition, the welfare state model that was being built thanks to the strength of the workers’ movement and the Social Democratic Left in the framework of the construction works caused by the wrecks of wars contributed a great deal to the realisation of a progressive Europeanism that could, in some way, differ from the gross model of the United States and confront the Soviet Union in the context of the Cold War.

From then on, we go backwards. The subsequent expansion of the community and the European Union has been built on radical neo-liberalism (under German rule) in conventions and decrees (Maastricht, Lisbon, etc.). on the basis of economic and monetary union.

Today’s Europe (which we would not like) has little agreement and an excess of taxation, discrimination, exploitation and xenophobia based on human rights, justice and democracy. Furthermore, Europe is a great fraud from the point of view of culture (also when the cultural city is designated as such, giving rise to business and speculation, rather than to real culture).

In Europe, the stick of order is in the hands of the troika. This institution that nobody has chosen has hijacked us – citizens
and peoples – the right and the ability to decide the future. Here is the real lesson of what happened in Greece. I was surprised that in the 20-N elections hardly anyone mentioned the burden of those factual powers that are above us (the European Commission has already demanded a cut of EUR 11 billion in social spending from the Spanish Government), which we will have to shake up in some way if we want a new Europe.

Today's Europe is only a free space without barriers to capital. The rest, on the other hand, suffocates in the boundaries of the trenches and fences.
