The Kudai Group has taken a step further in its trajectory through its new work VII. The group has put its touch on the industrial metal, its personality. Members of the group touch very hard, build dark environments, carefully cultivate melodies and slogans, and have recorded right, accurate, raw and strong melodies. In every song of the VII we will find a devil, a story and a temptation, an invitation to fall into hell. In the 16th century, the German theologian Peter Binsfeld related the seven most important sins: pride, usury, laziness, lust, envy, indignation and insanity to seven demons. That list is based on the fifth album by the Guipuzkoan band Kudai, which has just been published by Iraola.
The Kudai metal group was formed in 2002, when Ekaitz and Bortx, who were part of the Hira group, started playing together and created their first ideas. Shortly afterwards, David, former Bletz component, started playing with them, and later, Tito, and between the four formed the Kudai group. At the same time that they created the first songs, they started doing performances in public. In 2004 they published their first album, Hutsa, with the Oihuka label, and the work was well received in the media. The video clip, composed of the song Ni Naiz, has been nominated for the awards of the Basque Radio Gaztea.
His second album, Arima Eroslea, was produced by his own means in 2006. In 2008 Ekaitz left the group and Urtzi, a former member of Hira, started playing in the Kudai group. In 2009 they released their third album, Shat Mat, and Tito left the group for physical problems and Urko started to touch the battery.
In 2013 they published the album Harezko Dorreak. Then Urko left the group and Unai started playing in his place. Therefore, Kudai members are Bortx (guitar and programming), David (voice), Urtzi (bass) and Unai (drums). The quartet is consolidated and after the publication of its 7th album, they are eager to present it here and there in public performances. Their actions will be visible and audible.
