In the novel Dalloway andrea we are told what happened one day in June. The protagonist of the program, Clarissa, will prepare for the whole day the party that will be held at home at night. At the same time, he will walk through Septimus and visit the doctor to talk about the traces of war. One of the most well-known works by Virginia Woolf is the stream of spirit or narrative style of the inner monologue, memories emerge through flashbacks and are part of the chain of thoughts and feelings of the characters along with those that occurred during the day.

A lot of I characters appear. A portrait of British society after the World War, under the direction of two people. Both reflect on the passage of time or on life and death; the reader aware of the nuances of day to day and nature, guided by their looks, draw in detail characters and relationships about the different social classes and cultural genres; around delirium and love question certain beliefs and norms.

In the text Killing women’s jobs or the Angel of the House, we reflected on how she became a woman writer and what needs to be done to achieve it: killing the angel of the house (the traditional feminine role that women have to play) and daring to talk about women’s passions and bodies. Therefore, the female writer must stop exploring freely “immersed imagination in the background of the unconscious” and “overcome many prejudices”.

It strikes me that this writer, considered a 20th-century classic, has brought to Euskera. The editorial Ibaizabal published Farorantz in 1993 in the Universal Literature collection and had to spend twenty years to read another work by Woolf in Euskera: A single room (Consonni 2013). And the next year ODE! The editorial published the work that we have in our hands. Why have it taken almost a hundred years for these last two jobs to be in Basque? Why have two “peripheral” editorials taken the work of publishing?

Woolf denounced in Gela bat norberarena the criteria for evaluating the literature: “A scene on a battlefield is much more important than a scene in a store.” And Mrs. Dalloway shows with her novel that in the collection of what happened and remembered one day they could meet all the vicissitudes of their time and that over time many things happen without us realizing it.
