In 2008 Los Galerna was founded by musicians from Arrasate, The 5 Twisters, Foxy Boxxi, Lost Souls and other local music groups. At first they made surf rock the size of classics such as The Ventures, The Shadows, etc. ; and with their own songs they published a beautiful album of the same name. But the goal of Los Galerna went further, because despite the instrumental music they wanted to show, you can express a lot without a voice and, by the way, show the most disruptive of surfing.
In the second work of Surfusion, they took a much daring step and, based on the musical experiences of each of the components, they were able to give a more gamberian touch to surfing, to bring the virtuous style to more rocker parameters and to accommodate other styles under the cloak of surfing. They wrote songs of great progression and change, from the garage (Dale fuzz! ), from the groove of the Latino and the funky (Surfusion), to the composition of spy sound bands (Dr. Bocanegra), to jump to western (Quetzalcoall), psychodelia and African rhythms.
By then it has already been proved that the band has no rival nearby, and that, whatever the scenario, it leaves the level very high, as the showy Mexican spectators have also seen. In particular, the group, together with the show, shakes the punk and the most intense rockand-roll to the most open songs without a voice. And with the saxo fully interiorized in the group, on the Akelarre album, in a dangerous ritual disguised, the virtuosity, the vintage touch, the elegance of the orchestras, the western, the swing, the hard rock of the 1970s, the garage, the country, the hillbilly and the brands of the warmest groups of Vampisoul emerged.
In fact, the scene that most develops in the world of surfing and instrumental rock is that of Mexico, so it is no coincidence that every year the mondragonese receive and, of course, complete offers of turns across the sea. When reading these lines, the group will be back in the room; and before they go they have published the following work with The Cavernarios.
The Cavernarios Cuatitlán is a group from Izcalli (Mexico) that since 2001 has published numerous albums in which he has worked styles such as surfing, garage and rockabilly. It has long since become an instrumental rock phenomenon. Mexicans have opened the middle disc with the elephant's Twist piece, a vibrating instrumental rocanrol that has been measured. It is followed by The Great South, both mysterious and virtuous, with an extreme sonority and development that almost spirals. And as a dessert they have dared with the song of Los Galerna Como pica this arena, with a rock-and-roll rhythm, distortion and a different tuning.
Owners and owners of the second part of Los Galerna: Jaguar stomp explodes and dares to marry a devil driven saxo, the punk rock with a surf suit and the Latin touch. As for the tons of reverb, although it begins in a restrained and limited way, it is later distorted and begins the trot of crazy horse. Finally, they pay tribute to The Cavernarios a Soy from the coast, without losing the festive touch, multiplying the rhythm and reverb.
