On the eve of the elections, Errekondo presented the book in the Hernani Karabeleko Association: “Just ask a politician what he eats and where he buys to understand the model that drives him,” he reflected. Karabeleko’s project, one of the book’s companions, always has the doors open. Oier Iurramendi, a worker, has taught us what the visitors will find: To begin with, between 10 and 15 members of Agifes (Gipuzkoa Association of the Mentally Ill) work in the garden. These orchards are therapy centers. In addition, we will find the ecoshop. Everything that is sold in it has an ecological certificate: plants, lands, substrates... as those that are dedicated to public gardens need. And the Research Center will also be open. In response to the need to study the varieties, they bring plants from all over the world to Karabeleko for production and analysis of the process. We can go quietly to get to know these curious varieties. Finally, a consumption group has been created around what this 1.5 hectare garden provides. The world's special vegetables also come to the all-green basket.
The Karabeleko Non-Profit Association has four organizations: Agifes, Blasenea Organic Nursery, a company dedicated to the Kimubat landscape, and Ernetuz SLL (three workers in the area carry the eco-store and daily work of the garden).
