In the Parliament of Navarra, the majority approved the option of teaching in Basque in the non-Basque area, in the public network. The proposal was presented by PSN, I-E and Geroa Bai, while Bildu and Aralar-NaBai voted in favour of it. It was adopted in committee and the last time is missing: that it be adopted in plenary. It may be approved at the end of this month. Another thing is that it will give you time to start it in the 2015-2016 course. The PSN, with the help of UPN, introduces an amendment to the law which obliges the government to draw up a regulation setting the number of pupils necessary to implement model D.

Furthermore, the behaviour of the ikastolas was discussed in Parliament’s committee. GEROA Bai, Bildu and Aralar-NaBai voted in favour of paying the transport and dining costs of the ikastolas, while the PSN and I-E refused to endorse the proposal. The pp and UPN have on this occasion chosen the ikastolas, so that, of course, the teaching in Basque does not take place in the public network.
