Euskahaldundu! says the motto of Korrika 19. The organizers recalled the words of Amets Arzallus at Korrika 18: “This people will think about Euskera, or not,” and now they want to ratify it as follows: “We can think of this people in Euskera, or we can’t think.” In the 19th edition they want to underline the importance of power to euskaldunize the Basque Country and they want to make an effort to unite the potentialities of each of us and the group.
On 19 March 2015, the festival will begin in Urepel and the closing ceremony will be held in Bilbao on 29 March 2015.
Korrika 19 will pay tribute to the Durango Fair. In fact, in 2015 it will be 50 years old and believe that the meeting point between Basque cultural activity and the world of Basque culture is a clear exponent of the values of collaboration.
About 100 Euskaltegis and AEK night schools are learning about 500 Basque students. The organizers pointed out in the presentation by Korrika 19 that the situation of the Euskaltegis of Ipar Euskal Herria and Navarre is serious, since they do not have subsidies from the administrations.
