The musical culture of Euskal Herria is visible, among many other things, if we bear in mind that we have a long-history orchestra, the Bilbao Orkestra SInfónica. In 1922 he offered his first concert at the Arriaga Theatre, and since then he has traveled the world, under the batuta of prestigious directors and with first-level soloists: From the legendary pianist Arthur Rubinstein, Mstislav Rostropovich, Ivo Pogorelich, Alfredo Kraus, Luciano Pavarotti… all the stars have passed through the BOS filter. Year after year it offers us interesting and well thought out programmes, and this year will not be an exception: We will find 17 proposals, some standard, others more daring, both for the programme offered and for the selected soloists.

Through a small review, the pianists will enjoy various works for piano and orchestra: Rapsodia de Rachmaninov on a theme of Paganini, so romantic and cinematographic; Concert for piano and orchestra in Sol Mayor de Ravel, electrician; 3 by Beethoven. But the BOS also tries to offer less “easy” jobs. There will be releases like M.E.
