Outside the schools, the Basque people in Biarritz also want it. For this year they have chosen the following motto: Tomorrow’s speech in Basque. For Euskera to be learned and used, they have organized a comprehensive one-week programme. On 22 September they began and on 28 the week Mintza lasai will end. For the third consecutive year, administrations and associations have joined together to boost the Basque country and have organized more than 70 activities. 25 associations and 100 employees.
These are all types of playful, reflexive and educational activities. For example, they have already taught cooking and wine tasting courses, as well as Euskera and Associations courses. Day 26 will be the day of the Language Meeting: Exhibition Babel Arazuri, session to teach the first words in various languages spoken in Biarritz, ball match with the bertsolari narrator there, and then soak the throat of languages. On 27 September, attendees will enjoy a guided tour, a Mintzaplaza, a singing poteo and a cabaret dinner. At the end of the week, on the 28th, the Festival of Families will be held.
