The Spanish presidents have just realized that the sovereignty of Catalonia is not a subject of Artur Mas, nor the whim of Oriol Jonqueras or David Fernández, but a collective aspiration of many citizens. And aware that sovereignty is not a matter for some leaders, they are now seeking to attack the social organization which has promoted sovereignty, the ANC, when the Signa un vot per la independència campaign can show the measure of the attachment of the Catalans to sovereignty. They say that they are not against one or more leaders – although Carme Forcadell also talks about the possibility of being imprisoned … – but against an association that is supported by a large part of Catalan society.

The suspicion in the Catalan process that the relative weight of the leaders and of society itself is more relative than ever, the desire to think about the functions of the leaders, has awakened me.

I imagine how the first leaders emerged in human communities. I can imagine, in the memory of Sua bila, a group of human beings in an extreme situation, in an attack on life or death, inventing a solution to get out of the coffin in which someone, an individual, questioned everyone's life. And I can imagine his compatriots giving that individual special power to save him from the anguish that threatened him.

I can understand the behavior of those men. But I do not see so clearly the need, utility or convenience of perpetuating that system of chiefs that have so far come from the centuries.

Because, as in many primitive peoples, in today's most sophisticated societies, leaders are the pillars and the axes. It seems that we cannot move forward without a leader, that leaders live to us as citizens, even in the democracies in which the government of all citizens is based.

It would be good to review the role of the leaders. For example, to move the issue to us and us, to see what they have in the process of bringing peace, compared to the anonymous population that works more secretly. Either differentiate what is most important when it comes to voting: choosing the leaders that the parties consider so important, or that the citizens can discuss the ideas and programmes of the parties.

At this point, we should seek among all and all solutions to the attacks of all, always owners and owners of ourselves. The needs and the importance of the bosses went down one step.
