BILDU may have reason to be happy in Navarre, because it is still the key to the change in the scheme that the PSN is building, with which we will not talk, but we do approve the votes. Who would tell Batasuna a few years ago. In the eyes of Madrid and the powerful, moreover, it is still dangerous and therefore manipulable in Spain. On the one hand, it is good for the PP to always have a ghost, but on the other hand, it is not easy to explain to its audience that ETA is completely overcome and has failed (from its point of view “everything is ETA”, of course) and then, for example, to present Bildu as the key to the expulsion of a government. If the elections in Navarre were finally brought forward, the pp would do no more than favour Bildu with a message against him.

Moreover, Bildu is no longer just Bildu, but in the forthcoming regional elections EH Bildu will also be back in Navarre. That is to say, at present, in the Parliament of Navarra Bildu and Aralar-Nabai have 13 parliamentarians – the SNP with 9 – and that will be one of the most spectacular data in view of the forthcoming elections in which EH Bildu succeeds in being Navarre’s second political force. It is not going to be easy, not least because the strength of Geroa Bai is going to be much greater than its two current parliamentarians indicate. Everything indicates that there will be a great rivalry between EH Bildu, Geroa Bai and the PSN, unless the latter plays his cards well, although at the moment it cannot be said that he is getting right on that.

Whoever wants the change in Navarre cannot be the same in Madrid as in Navarre, that can be done by UPN and pp, but not by the PSN. And that's what Jimenez's party has been working on since the beginning of the legislature.

Although Madrid puts Bildu at the centre of its interest, the PSN is the real centre of political change. GEROA Bai, Aralar-Nabai, Bildu and Left-Ezkerra have agreed for a long time to end the UPN government, but the PSN votes are essential and until Thursday it will not be decided whether or not to accede to the motion of censure. And it's not easy to understand the PSN play. On 12 February they said that, if it was shown that Idoia Nieves’ words were true, they would ask for Barcina’s resignation and that, if he did not resign, it would be a motion of censure. For now they have failed again. The Committee of Inquiry of the Parliament of Navarra considered it to be proven, but the SNP has rectified and now rejected Yolanda Barcina, leaving the decision of the motion of censure in the hands of its territorial committee.

It may be a move to better round the motion of censure, so if Ferraz wanted to lie it, he wouldn't have to do it just against the direction, but against the whole PSN. And, in theory, the PSOE has also built an argument to deal with the PP attack – “we will not talk to Bildu” – although we all know that this does not matter to the PP and the media brunete and that this attack cannot be avoided. It seems that sometimes it is essential to do theater, the problem is that with the PSN it is difficult to guess when it is theater and when not. Until the Territorial Commission meets on Day 6, all the doors are open, even that of not tabling the motion of censure, although this may put the SNP in a very serious situation.

Theatre often happens in the area of parties and is not a good practice, because citizens are mixed up, among others, but it seems inevitable in the current political model. The truth is that what the PSN and the PSOE are pushing – let us not talk to Bildu – is not just a lie in reality, but is not a pedagogical one in social terms, because instead of selling the value of dialogue to citizens, they are sold the value of exclusion. It would be logical to talk to Bildu as well and then take the decision that is deemed appropriate. Fortunately, the position that is sold is not the real one, because the PSN and the PSE dialogue with Bildu normally in almost all the institutions and on many occasions reach agreements, reaching agreement with Bildu on the annual budgets (2013 in the Council of Gipuzkoa and the City Hall of Donostia). Even when ETA was active, it was not the constructor, not even the truth, the message of no dialogue, but much less when it abandons its armed activity and dismantles its weapons.
