In Davos, the luxury ski resort of Switzerland, 2,500 people have gathered representing the political, social and economic elites of the world. In the photo that comes you can see who actually sends out in the world. Those who send out are not politicians and their governments. Traders, multinationals, banks, pension funds and large media have determined and hijacked the policy for their own interest. Politicians are just managers. Politicians, bankers, financiers, businessmen… have all been together in Davos to maintain the benefits provided by the capitalist system and at the lowest possible cost.
They have been concerned about inequalities and youth unemployment, but they are responsible for this. They are very fast, because they know that those who suffer from this inequality and unemployment can cause a social explosion. That is why they say that measures must be taken to alleviate these situations. And because they are so fast, they have been concerned about the worsening of employment, they have deregulated labour relations and reduced labour costs (wages, allowances, redundancies…). These are measures which, supposedly, have been taken to alleviate unemployment, but which have created slaves and submissive men instead of people of the twenty-first century. Their interest and concern is not the dignity of people, what they are interested in is seeking formulas, apparently more humane, to continue accumulating capital without any social response. And they have politicians by their side not to enter their hands in tax havens, not to impose too much taxes on them, and, in a crisis situation, for the banks to be rescued with public money. They also use the press to justify it! Davos offers us that transparent image of capitalism.
