The president of Euskaltzaindia, Andrés Urrutia, said in 'Berria':
“It’s true, though, that there are academics who have come together. Some have resigned together,” answering the question:
“There are not only the scholars of number, but there are also the corresponding ones, and not those who are not even an intern. Euskaltzaindia is a complex reality. 29 members and each one is a world. Each member has a very broad meaning in the Basque world, as we have people from different areas, and these people are referential and meaningful in those areas. We have to make an effort to reach agreements. There will be points on which some members of Euskaltzaindia will more or less agree. I believe in that plurality. 29 people and have significant opinions in the Basque world. They're not all. Sometimes evil happens. It’s not very easy, for example, to bring together these significant people every month and reach a consensus on a few points.”
