In an article published on December 4 by the journal Nature, fresh water is found in large quantities under the bottom of several Earth’s seas.
Scientists knew there's fresh water under the bottom of the sea, but not so much. It is estimated that there are at least 500,000 kilometres of cubes under these conditions. These deposits are mainly located around Australia, China, North America and South Africa. Apparently, it is a water stored in the last 20,000 years, which was filtered by land along with the rise in sea level and accumulated among the rubble of the seabed.
The water found can be used to meet the needs of some countries in need after a small treatment. However, the British hydrologist vincent Prost has warned that the water bags are not renewable and has proposed a "moderate" use of them.
