Essential drops
There is a drop that keeps inside the secret of an entire sea. This is, in short, the essence of the philosophy of the Tantaz campaign so much. We have been hearing for years that we are facing a new scenario, that every year new opportunities are opening up to us. Besides listening, listening, thinking that each of us has a lot to say and do. Of saying “things have to be changed”, we have set in motion what we call “Let’s Change Things”, and with that philosophy we want to wet every corner of Euskal Herria.
The area of the rights of prisoners and fleeing has traditionally been used by States not to address the solution of the conflict, to keep the whole people in conflict. The violation of the fundamental rights of the Basques living in this situation, the maintenance of a cruel measure such as the dispersal or keeping in prison of severely ill prisoners, responds exclusively to the logic of revenge, to the discourse of the loser and defeated. In the meantime, in our people, the formulas and dynamics for seeking a solution to the conflict or its consequences are constant. Because human rights violations in jail or in exile are not just a problem for those who live in them. The whole people must be a champion of these basic human rights, if we want to build the future within those bases.
So every drop has a lot to do. We know that we each work a lot more at ease from their area. We must believe in the potential of every drop, there are many cultural, educational or sporting initiatives that we can organise in defence of the rights of prisoners and exiles. What's the key? Imagination, work and mind. There is no more appropriate formula against those who want to plunge us into despair. The Bilbao Sea must be the initial window of all this.
On 11 January, we will make an unforgettable sea that reflects the will of this people. A historic demonstration of all those drops, which we are organising in auzolan the largest occupation of the space that our people have known so far, and that on the same day we will have hundreds of blue volunteers on the streets of Bilbao to make everything go properly.
From the Town Hall Square and La Box, two giant waves will open the relatives of the prisoners and exiles. At the confluence of both waves will come the climax of the mobilization, the time of the creation of the sea. That unforgettable moment will be impossible without the drop of each of us, you also need it!
