The Basque Government and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa have presented the Deputy’s budgets for next year. For the media in Basque, the news has been published that they will keep the same bag of money. If we're going to flush out champagne... we've been measuring the fluid under the foam:
The Basque Government will invest 0.047% (EUR 4.87 million) of the total budget of the Basque Government, amounting to EUR 10.215 million. Disaggregated by the 121.8 million euros of EiTB.
The Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa will invest 0.47% (EUR 3,579,465) of the total budget (EUR 758,641,970) in media grants in Basque.
Many citizens pay 4% of the monthly salary (EUR 1,200) (EUR 48.1). Public institutions must set an example to the budgets of these citizens who are the nucleus for the revitalization of the Basque country.
The main stock exchange within the departments of Euskera is that of the media. The Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa invests 0.7% in Basque. I have not been able to know what the Basque Government offers the Basque Government in its entirety in the budgets. Political representatives can explain in what time and to what extent the Basque Country can revive by investing 0.7%. The weight of the Basque Country in the model of the country in which it is working. Seen with humor, thinking that the situation of the Basque Country is not a big problem in itself, we can live better. Can an issue that requires 07% of the budget really be called a problem? Many citizens who pay taxes and vote invest much more in Euskera (it is enough that this citizen who has a salary of 1,200 euros puts 8.4 euros a month in the media in Euskera, in Euskaltegi, in the Basque association… to match the share that public institutions dedicate to Euskera).
As citizens of Euskal Herria, we would be very grateful to conduct studies to know the weight of each project in the recovery and development of the Basque Country, both quantitatively and qualitatively. It would be a firm criterion when it comes to allocating public money, to take account of the results we get, to invest that money in one way or another. And here we are from the same bag EITB and the means of popular initiative. It is the condition or the main objective of the survival of the media in Euskera, that the Basque River should become a sea, so as not to have to depend on the crumbs.
The 2014 budgets are already going, but in order for the 2015 budgets to improve and be truly effective by 2020, let us bring together the political leaders of the Euskera Department, representatives of the media and associations in Euskera, and let us also raise the voice of the citizens so that the Basque country has the budget that corresponds to live. And for the media in Basque to be as solid as possible, being essential for the development of the language.

To be honest, I don't know why I'm writing this. In today’s hostile environment, opinions of this kind are not well received. Perhaps LUZ will not publish this because it does not correspond to the opinions they have published so far (but if they have finally decided to publish... [+]

And for another year, the unions have organized prefabricated strikes for us. And we, individually, will decide whether or not to join the strike, without the need for any assembly at the school.

Life surrounds everything, it is limited and fragile. To live good lives, it seems to me that the body knows what to do, while the mind, although it knows (when it is well informed), often sees the body deliberately silence. In this silence the mind opens itself to relations... [+]

Since Benito Lertxundi, who told us that he will leave the scenes for ever, we have been there for several weeks, and since then many of us have felt orphans in one way or another, with a sense of loss or abandonment, sad. To Iruindarro, at least, we will remain forever honored... [+]
There are three knots that complicate our coexistence in the Basques, and for many years, despite our patience and determination, we are unable to break free from these ties. There are at least three knots of the moment: prisoners, Basque, immigrants.
