The development of audiovisual media over the last decades has been enormous, even more so with the emergence of technological devices with Internet connection that have been placed on the market in recent years. And there's no way to stop. According to the VisualInstallerIndex report (Cisco, 2012) by 2015 there will be almost 3 billion users on the Internet – over 40% of the world population planned for that time – each person will have an average of three Internet-connected devices and video consumption will be one million minutes per second.
With consumption, production also rises and those in it have to be careful. It is essential to have clear communication objectives and the possibilities offered by technology, and in both perspectives the Euskarabildua days of this year will be based. Look and listen. Under the title Communication and technological keys to multimedia production, we will exchange experiences about the audiovisual world and analyze how they can be used for the dissemination of Euskera.
Given that technological development is a characteristic of all communities, it is not necessary to look outside to know the place that audiovisual media have on the network. Arantza del Pozo e Igor García belong to the applied research center Vicomtech-IK4 of Donostia-San Sebastián. The first will talk about the automatic subtitling of audiovisual in Basque and the second about the transition from audiovisual technologies of professionals to the most common users.
The UPV/EHU professor Nora Barroso and the journalist of Argia Axier López will talk about radio and television, respectively. Barroso will unveil the details of the audio finder for the radio AdiUP Info7 and López will invite its listeners to abandon the television that considers the culture of the 20th century as the most failed and skip to the net.
It is also enriching to collect experiences beyond our geographical scope and journalists Pablo Iglesias and Carles Solá will be in it. The first of the political conversation guides of La Nut and the second of the Platform per la Llengua will speak, among other topics, about the dissemination of the audiovisual on the network and the influence of social networks.
The offer organised by Argia, Iametza and the Ametzagaiña Group therefore extends. All other colloquiums and shared experiences will be available to the attendees. Invitation submitted.
