Village to village, bertso thirst
Summer is the perfect season for the bertsos. This year, moreover, as it is the preseason of the Basque Country Championship that starts in the autumn, programmes of all kinds of parties will also be launched: rimas and refined techniques, special melodies and sizes and other chirps, which will delight listeners. Here you have a selection of the programs that are the annual quote on the agendas of the fine listeners who pursue Perl and go from place to place:
Every Thursday of August in Hazparne. At the inn Bob's Beer from 19:30. Periodically two different bertsolaris.
1 August, Romo. Annual holiday in Plaza Santa Eugenia at 20:30: Andoni Egaña, Unai Iturriaga, Onintza Enbeita and Imanol Uria. In the festivities there is also a bertso poteo every year; this year will be 3, starting at 17:00 from the Plaza Santa Eugenia: Jone Uria and Gorka Ostolaza.
August 3, in Bera. Triki poteo street at 12:00 from the town square. Maialen Lujanbio and Amets Arzallus will sing in the program.
August 4, in Larraul. Maialen Lujanbio, AMETS Arzallus, Uxue Alberdi and Iker Zubeldia participate in the festival that brings together a large number of people, which can be followed from 18:00.
From 5 to 9 August, at the headquarters of EiTB in Vitoria-Gasteiz. A four-bertsolaris festival is held every day in Aiotz Square at 13:30 hours. For example, on 6 August Andoni Egaña, Rubén Sánchez, Orlando Arreitunandia and Julio Soto will act. There will also be functions for children, on 9 August at 12:30 in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca: Bertsos theater "Bikote".
6 August in Zumaia. Special action by two sisters at 20:00 in the Aita Mari room in Bilbao. Andoni Egaña and pianist Xabier Lizaso will bring to the scene the sisters of the Chopin and Xenpelar, who will act in Bonberenea.
August 7 in Aia. Annual program of farrons fans in Dema Square at 22:00 hours. In the second semifinal, Xebastian Lizaso, Andoni Egaña, Maialen Lujanbio, AMETS Arzallus, Xabi Paya, Iker Zubeldia and Arkaitz Estiballes will be measured.
12, 14 and 16 August in Donostia-San Sebastián. The festivals of Aste Nagusia will be held at 12:00 hours in Plaza Easo in Bilbao. Maialen Lujanbio, Jon Maia, Alaia Martin and Unai Gaztelumendi will be among them on 14. In addition, Oskar Estanga and Odei Barroso will offer at 23:30 hours in the Plaza de la Constitución a special show "Bat Batean", where you can enjoy live music.
13 August in Leitza (Bizkaia). At 18:00, the festival will be held in the plaza. Julen Zelaieta, Maialen Lujanbio, Agin Rezola and Anjel Mari Peñagarikano will be in charge of broadcasting the meeting between Real Sociedad and Athletic.

August 15, Zizurkil Goia. The program, 30 years from now, will be broadcast at 23:00 on the pediment. Jexux Mari Irazu, Amaia Agirre, Andoni Egaña, Maialen Lujanbio, AMETS Arzallus and Jon Maia will sing and for the eleventh time, Igotz Alkorta will be in charge of putting the theme to the song.
August 17, in Llodio. A special musical performance that has as its main theme the genre "is no coincidence". At 21:00, it will be the turn of Uxue Alberdi, Ainhoa Komas, Onintza Enbeita and Izar Mendiguren, in the txosnas enclosure.
August 18 in Donamaria. One of the most special days. As every year there will be a popular meal on the pediment and after eating will all go to the convent to visit the nuns. This is not the first time that Aitor Mendiluze and AMETS Arzallus have faced. The nuns, besides the pretil, offer some songs and pastas.
From 18 to 25 August, in Bilbao. Festival program of Aste Nagusia every day at 13:00 in the Plaza de Santiago. Odei Barroso, Oihana Bartra, Xabier Silveira and Iratxe Ibarra will take part in the first day of the Championship.
August 24 in Hondarribia. At 20:00 hours, a group of people are expected to meet in the Plaza de Santiago to listen to Subai hill, Alaia Martin, Aitor Mendiluze and Aitor Sarriegi.
August 31, in Larrabetzu. Xabier Amuriza and Xabi Paya will be on the Vitoria Open from 13.00.
