OK! Eta Karmele? is one of the four works published by the newborn editorial. The work was released in Zarautz, and it was released at the age of 5. The work, written by Samara Velte for the work of Ainhoa Alberdi and Iraia Elias, has been staged so far on 80 occasions. It is an absurd play based on the play En attendant Godot (1952) by Samuel Beckett. There are two men by a tree waiting for Godot, while they speak. And Karmele? At work there are also two women waiting for Karmele in a car. In the two works there are conversations about society and power relations, repetitions, humor and situations of communicative incommunication.

But what's the most remarkable difference? Samara Velte has transgenerated Beckett's work. It has turned women into those who wait and those who do not. What can happen with the Godoti skirt? What changes will the characters, plot, or themes experience? Beckett’s work gives us the circumstances of the interlocutors’ lives and Godot is the link between them. In Velte’s work however, we know Karmele, two characters who talk about his life and his relationship with her. The two men live at the borders of the class system and the distribution of wealth, they would be ‘losers’ in the American neoliberal culture. The two women -- they're women. And that conditions their bodies, behaviors and experiences. They're very aware of their gender identity. What are we? Ah! I know! Women have us! (Even talking about noka constantly reveals that character). There is concern about the canon of beauty (you're not pretty, you're pretty), about the weak and passive (I'm afraid! And who will protect you? ), or a tendency to emotions and incarnate subject (Our history is devoid of bodies capable of awakening emotions... Why I didn't say [Deskartes]: ‘master, then, I am’ or ‘toco, therefore, I am’). But what prevails

among all the ingredients is structural violence towards women. Karmele lives with his aggressor (Bizi ez, Karmele dies in his house). Virginie Despentes quotes in King Kong Theory (2007) what Camille Plagia said: "Rape is an inevitable risk that accompanies being a woman if you want to leave the house and walk in freedom." In the case of Karmele, violence is at home, but can be found anywhere (as Ada and Jenny have recently found in the gym). And Karmele? His friends are waiting for him in the street, next to the car...
