Proclaiming Rachmaninov

13 we heard one of those pearls at the Euskalduna Palace. After playing the overture (delicate and felt) of the opera Don Giovanni de Mozart, concert for piano and orchestra Nr. 3 by Rachmaninov in Re menor, op. 30 was interpreted by Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, under the batuta of Günter Neurban, and with Mateusz Borowiak as a young and soloist pianist. It was certainly a good version. Mateusz Borowiak had already received all the prizes in the last edition of the Barcelona piano competition, María Canals, and, as it was seen, it was worth it. He easily overcame all the devils of the play, as if it were the simplest thing in the world, but also removed all the essence of the concert, the force, the lyricism… To mention one mistake, it has to be said that there were times when the synchronization between the soloist and the orchestra was complicated, but, well, the beauty
surpassed it. The pianist made a tip. A Rachmaninov's Éreli-tableau, really hard, really atractivo.En the
second part of the program, we enjoyed the most romantic Mozart. Symphony No. 40 in Sol minor, K. 550, so famous and so special for its intense rhythm and agitation atmosphere, was a nice finish for a passionate concert.
