Amaiur 2012: Your dream is ours.
Our dream is the musical show organized by the associations Amis du Chàteau fort de Amaiur and Maule. Juan Mari Alemán, of the Gaztelu Society, explains the development of the initiative: “2000. In the year 2000 we wanted to make a pastoral ministry in Amaiur with the theme of the Conquest of Navarra. We proposed it to the Sulatins, but the dynamics of the Pastoral Care prevented it from being carried out. However, thanks to them we launched the idea of the event we are preparing. It’s another way to tell the story: singing, music, dance, but it also explains the evolution of our history.”
The show consists of four performances. The first, the Imperialist Catholic Monarchs. Secondly, the heavy conquest of Navarre. Third, the Amaiur site. And the last one, Navarra forever.
The project has a budget of EUR 45,000. About 100 people work in the area. The organization expects 1,400-1,500 people in Amaiur in the first action, which will take place on 20 July in the Ogueta fronton. On 10th and 11th August it will be played again in Maule.

Amaiurko gazteluaren erorketaren 500 urteen kari Amaiurko Gaztelu elkarteak lan hori egiteko galdegin zion. Amaiurko gazteluaren sarraskia usu aipatzen bada ere, Nafarroko erresumaren desegitea ez da sobera ezagun. Komiki honen bidez gure historia gogora ekarri du Urmenetak.
