The European Union and the International Monetary Fund have "rescued" Spanish banks and made more than EUR 100 billion available to them. The Spanish Government wishes once again to manipulate and deceive public opinion. It's like we're stupid. And so, it escapes the word "rescue," saying it's a loan. They want us to believe that this “bailout” that will raise public debt to 96% of gross domestic product is not a reward for the citizens, which will not lead to further cuts. They lie when they say that this “rescue” has nothing to do with banks or citizens. Rajoy and Guindos, without blushing, say: “There are no conditions for macroeconomics and taxation, there will be no reform outside the financial sphere.” Funnels!
This “rescue” will be a turning point for the economic policy of the Spanish State. It will have serious consequences for citizens, especially for workers. In Euskal Herria it will also be, because we are subject to its policy. Bank and bank workers will see their offices closed and thousands of people will go to unemployment. Those who remain will be spoiled by the conventions. This type of “bailout” of the millionaire economy will lead to an increase in public debt and deficit, and to this end more cuts will have to be made: delaying retirement, reducing pensions and unemployment benefits, raising VAT, removing the deduction for housing purchases, etc. That is the “rescue” invoice.
They want us to believe that from now on banks will open up a source of credit for families and businesses, and that in this way they will increase investment and employment… But they have already shown that the millionaire public funds they have received so far have used to clean up their balance sheets and buy profitable public debt. Who are you going to be fooled?
