It seems that in France, including Euskal Herria, we are on the verge of change. We are not going to offer a political collection of the five years that have passed, but a brief bibliography of the kingdom of Sarkozy. Although in the Mass-media the omerta was crazy, some writers denounced the situation with bitterness. Shortly after Sarkozy's presidency, the battle for the dissolution of hypnotic story-teller discourses began.
• By quoi Sarkozy est-il le nom. Alain Badu (Lignes, 2007)
The philosopher assured that fear would guarantee the state and that Sarkozy would become the protector of the citizens. The job, the homeland, the trio family was dreaded as in the best times of Vichy. So Sarkozy's name was raised as an excuse against everything that depressed us.
• La nuit du Fouquet’s. Ariane Chemin and Judith Perrignon. (Fayard, 2007)
But on the night of 6 May 2007 two journalists showed very well the fire that the new lehendakari was going to do. At Fouquet’s he met with the richest in the state. It was enough to see the list of guests to know which owner of CAC 40 would receive the markets and honours of the next legislature: Bouygues, Arnault, Dassault, Proglio, Minc, Pron de Alstom would host the LGV project.
• Rêves de droite: défaire l’imaginaire sarkozyste. Mona Chollet (Zones, 2008).
Researcher Mona Chollet took the ideas of the Sarkozymo and built them out at great speed. In his book's note, he revealed the neoliberal desire hidden behind the words of the hyper-president. At that time, I was reproaching and outraging the citizens of many societies: immigrants, young people, fishermen, officials, farmers. The lehendakari was broadcast on the pages of People magazine after being met at Disneyland with Carla Bruni. Politics was a spectacle.
• Le président des riches. Monique et Michel Pinçon (Zones, 2010).
Enquête sur l’oligarchie dans la France de Nicolas Sarkozy as subtitle. The rich were the first to serve, according to tax laws, numbers and speeches. In addition to the blatant strengthening of the plutocracy, it tended to criminalise all opponents in particular in October 2010 when trade unions pushed the masses to the streets against the reform of the reserves. The police had swept through several strike centres as if it were a private militia of the Sarkozy class.
• Le quai de Ouistreham. Florence Aubenas (Editions de l’olivier, 2010).
The well-known journalist went anonymously to a cleaning company in Caen to share the daily life of their precaries for nine months. Aubenas showed the situation of a society that crumbled away from the whirlpools of nepotism, most of the women. It was the chronicle of the Great Enraretification lying the essence of Sarkozy's Travailler plus pour gagner plus prayer.
At each of his lectures, Sarkozy stirred knives in the killings to multiply his sufferings and have people set them up against each other. Five years of moral hesitation. Unbearable. At the time of the vote, abortion was allowed to be a bad consultant, with 18 per cent of the votes of FN neonationalists, even in our smaller villages. The petty politics of Sarkozy left France culturally and socially postponed, bled, hungry for money, vague xenophobe and homophobe, reluctant. That was where the real salad rupture that we managed to understand thanks to the books that we have mentioned had to happen.
They were all in food and drink, seemingly cheerful, but some were nervous between snacks and appetizers. He would receive the prize for the second time, but he would be the first to have it in his hands. And I was nervous because the reminder had to get to the office, damn it.... [+]
