The EITB advertising campaign, commissioned by the bishops, has been suspended in various media in the Autonomous Community. The purpose of the advertisements was for parents to choose the subject of Religion for their children. The decision was taken at the request of the EITB Supervisory Committee in the Basque Parliament on the understanding that the issue of spots violated the principle of religious freedom.

I do not know if he has missed the principles; yes, in return, he must disturb my bowels. However, despite the inconvenience and the margins, I think it is very good that the advertisements should be removed, not least because a few years ago public television also banned a campaign for women’s rights, arguing that it was political propaganda. My God, you have to measure it with the same measure! However, in this case, the “various media” did not cause any scandal.

The bishops say that there has been censorship. Maybe. Anyway, exactly like what they did to the feminist movement. We must not forget, moreover, that in EITB there have been far more obvious censuses that have scandalized and alarmed. Many facts with the “socialists”, many others with those of the PNV. Remember, for example, how in the Hitzetik Hortzera program they came to cut the light, at the time of Ortuzar and Otermin, because the caciques did not like what several bertsolaris sang. Or that they were recently expelled from the Arratsaldero program for not wanting to remove a pin that denounced the dispersal of prisoners... The media, not even in them.

Although the subject is very different, I see parallels on the subject of Garzón. Garzón is a judge well known for the injustices committed against Basque prisoners: to invent stories, to imprison many young people without evidence, to allow torture... We have seen the judge sentenced; for the astonishment and scarring of the Basques for the cases of political corruption in the PP area and for the case of the victims of Franco. The Supreme Court wanted to impose an exemplary penalty “for breaking the basis of the judicial system and using the practices of totalitarian systems”.

We did not see the prosecutor’s office, the Supreme Court, etc. against blatant insults against Basque prisoners. I was very worried. Not even those Spanish actors who have manifested themselves on this occasion in defense of Garzón's freedom, then we saw them manifest for freedom...

The same measures? Blindness? There's no blind person but the one who doesn't want to see.
