Look at Narbaiza: We haven't thought much about that, let's not think about it. But yes, this society has taken a direction that seems irreversible.

Ander Mujika: A lot of speed, all over one, cement, we don't have time ... As the letter says, we don't let the light go, it's a kind of saturation.

M. Narbaiza: It's a little bit to become aware, to say, "Look where we live, is it really what we want?"

A. Mujika: And I think it's also mental, it's a way of thinking about people, it's all square.

M. Narbaiza: Also, you don't have to go to big cities to feel it. We all think that in Euskal Herria everything is green, but... I don't know if there are not as many cements as green, and more and more!

You usually only use two guitars. Have you ever missed a rhythmic basis? Or do you see that simplicity as your hallmark?

M. Narbaiza: Well, we thought, but it's not essential. I think using only two guitars is one of our hallmarks, we've been in this for years, and for something we're like, being Ander and Look. The point is that we do not unveil other things and we have often wondered how this or that song with new elements will look.

A. Mujika: We always try to give a kind of full singing and natural force between two. If a song has to convey something, we try to do it with how little we have. But we've thought about it, and we want to try things musically. Maybe someday ...

Look, have you been trained as far as your voice is concerned?

M. Narbaiza: No... I started at music school like Ander, but I left the crown a long time ago...

A. Mujika: That's not a spike...

M. Narbaiza: We broke the guitars in music school! (Laughter) No, seriously, that's been my only musical education. Now I'm trying to take it more seriously, because I also value what I have and I don't want to lose. I intend to work on something, but I have not yet started. Even so, despite being self-taught, I notice that I've taken a little bit of technique because of the execution. Before I started to sit at the table, now I don't. I used to spend, but now I'm more conscious and I want to work the voice.

Compulsory question: How was the version of His ta gar born? Although it is a completely different style, it has become very natural.

A. Mujika: One day we started playing that song with the guitar, as a joke ...

M. Narbaiza: I think one day we had a desire to try a heavy version, and the Wild Bethlehem was well kept on Ander's shelf. We took the dust off him and said, "This! This song contains beautiful choruses!”

A. Mujika: Then we came up with using the ukulele and gave the version a little shape.

Not long ago you were in Japan. What plans do you have for this tour? Do you have any plans to go abroad?

M. Narbaiza: At first we intend to walk around here. As far as I am aware, we do not intend to go to Congo!

A. Mujika: The intention is to give some more concerts to present the album, and then try other things, or compose some songs... At the moment, we have no intention of leaving.

How was the fair in Durango? What reception is the album having?

M. Narbaiza: We sell most of the albums at concerts, that's clear. It's the first time we've been to Durango and seen the competition there, yes, it was good. It was an amazing experience to see the fair from the other side.

A. Mujika: Yes, we also released the album in July. We did not go out specifically for Durango, it has already been sold before. Still, happy and satisfied with the reception of Durango.

How did the idea of recording your first feature film live and in public emerge?

A. Mujika: We have been playing for years and we have recorded very little. We always say we're a live group, we've almost not gone through the study. So, as we've done in some way live, we wanted to record that way. We didn't want a study production, with claqueta, well worked, etc. We wanted that point to be taken live. But instead of recording the drive live, we wanted it to be the drive live. That is, the preparation was to make the recording of the study, but with the public.

The album has everything. Do you want to create a general picture of the new songs, an old one, two improvisations, versions... and also zuzenean.Taldea?

M. Narbaiza: Maybe you can also see it that way, because if we're a fan of version, also of improvisation -- and those things happen live. The truth is, we don't think too much about it, but yes, it can be a picture of us.

A. Mujika: Yes, we also don't think about making a record from the very beginning, in a conventional sense. We don’t think how many songs we’d get, how they’d go on the album, the idea they would have… What we’ve done so far has been somehow to record.

The album is easily heard, the songs pass almost without noticing. Have you given special importance to the choice and order of songs?

A. Mujika: The order was thought later. We haven't made the record thinking about how it's going to be from start to finish. From the material that we had made a collection of songs that we like the most. Later on, inside the album we did think about the order the songs were going to have, to give it consistency.

M. Narbaiza: We have been doing everything step by step. We decided to make the first record, then what we'd play -- but the record is not the recording of a direct in that order. We recorded two concerts, and each day it was different, we put more old songs, also versions. Then you had to make a choice, yes or yes.

A. Mujika: Someday we'll have to take out the faces B with the songs that remained there... (Laughter).

What projects do you have in mind for the future?

A. Mujika: On the one hand, our intention for the future is to enlarge the group with other musicians, keeping us like Napoka. On the other hand, we want to compose new songs and make a studio album very different from what we have done so far. So far we have had the opportunity to do certain things, and now what we want is just the opposite, something new.

M. Narbaiza: That's doing new things, having a good time -- in the end that's what it takes to move forward.
